Production Supervisor

The Work Activity Center has been making a difference in the lives of people we serve for over 60 years. Our mission is to enrich the lives of people with disabilities by proactively providing them with opportunities for independence and individual growth.

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to assure the success of workers as employees and the satisfaction of the employer.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 7:30 am-3:30 pm

Salary

$11 per hour

Minimum Qualifications

- High School diploma or GED and 1-3 months related experience and/or training. Preference is given to those who have some college education.

-Able to communicate effectively, efficiently and accurately in spoken and written English.

- Driving is required for this position. In order to drive, you need to be 21 years old, maintain a UT driver’s license, and clean driving record.

-Must be in good physical condition and be able to stand for long periods of time, bend at the waist, kneel, and lift 50 pounds or one-quarter of his/her body weight

 

Essential Job Duties

-Assures the satisfaction of the employer.  This includes:

-assuring that weekly production quotas are achieved,

-assuring that adequate numbers of workers to meet production quotas,

-assuring that production quality of multiple products meets employer’s expectations,

-problem solve machinery malfunctions quickly so that production quota’s are met.

-Effectively teaches and trains workers to complete all job tasks to the level of satisfaction required by the employer and to do so in a safe manner.

-Assists individuals with disabilities to participate as fully as possible in achieving their personal outcomes and assists them to be successful in their jobs.

-Assists with developing skills and tools needed to apply for a job.

-Routinely instructs individuals with disabilities in positive and appropriate social interactions and assures that worker conduct at the job site is appropriate.

-Trains individuals in how to take appropriate transportation to and from their worksite.

-Assures that individuals are arriving to work on time and leaving work at appropriate times.

-Evaluates jobs and work sites to understand required skills and abilities.
