To facilitate the transportation needs of those in our services, the Center has a variety of vehicles and offers both fixed route and on demand transportation.
For our fixed route services, our well-trained drivers bring individuals to both the Midvale and West Valley locations each morning and then return them back to their homes each afternoon. Our on-demand transportation services involve assisting individuals to participate in community outings and activities. Those services are scheduled depending on the time and location of the activity. All individuals who drive for the Center must complete a series of trainings that help assure a safe experience for those on the vehicle.
Meeting the transportation needs of the individuals we support would not be possible without our partnership with UTA, UDOT, and various private donors who assist us with the purchase, lease and maintenance of both lift equipped and non-lift equipped vehicles.
While the bulk of the services we provide are limited to those we assist through our day and residential programs, we operate one lift equipped bus that is available for scheduled rides to the general public depending on the availability. This vehicle operates at various times throughout the day and interested individuals should contact our transportation department at 801-977-9779 x 132 for further information regarding schedule and applicable fares.
